Traditionally said to be a gift to the grandmother of the present owner by Thomas Mann (1875-1955), who wrote a part of his novel Felix Krull i in the family's house;
Matheus Müller, sparkling wine manufacturer (MM Sekt), Eltville, thence by descent to the present family member.
