    Lot Essay

    Luis Ricardo Falero was a born in Granada. After rejecting a career in the navy, he walked to Paris, where he experimented with engineering. He settled in London in the 1880's, where spent most of his life. His displayed his anatomical dexterity with his depictions of nude models, but he focused on mythological, astronomical (see the previous lot) and fantastical settings for his subjects.
