Lot Essay

He was present at the battle of Borodino in 1817. Attended Moscow University and was companion to Tsarevich Nicholas Alexandrovich. A member of the Senate in 1837 and promoted Lieutenant General in 1841, and appointed military governor of Moscow in 1850.
