Gouache heightened with gold on card, depicting an ascetic with his hair tied in a large circular bun on his head, wearing crimson patched clothes extending his hand in greeting to a luxuriously clothed lady whose hands are extended in supplication, the pair divided by a small stream and a Shiva lingam, around them a female attendant and a further seated sage with a crutch, set in a wooded glade with a mountain backdrop and blue sky, within minor gilt scrolling vine border on wide yellow margins, verso with gilt and polychrome plant set inside gilt and polycrhome floral borders on wide orange margins, mounted
