Property Sold to Benefit The Trevor Project
Christie's is honored to offer the following five lots donated by artists to benefit The Trevor Project, a life-saving organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people.
For the past 13 years The Trevor Project has been a leader in suicide prevention. Appointed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, Trevor has been recognized by the White House as a "Champion of Change" for leadership in suicide prevention.
The Trevor Lifeline annually fields more than 30,000 calls from youth in crisis. In addition to the Lifeline, the organization offers suicide prevention services to youth in digital spaces, including counseling via instant message through TrevorChat, a question-and-answer forum through Ask Trevor, and the largest online social network for LGBTQ youth, TrevorSpace. The Trevor Project also works with schools to improve suicide prevention in the classroom, offering Lifeguard Workshops and Survival Kits to school districts nationwide. The Trevor Project would like to thank Christie's and contributing artists Jim Hodges, Roni Horn, Jack Pierson, Marilyn Minter and Danh Vo for their generosity and support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
