    Lot Essay

'I told you to wait in the car' say people in America so Robert sneaks around and photographs little kids waiting in the car, whether three little boys in a motorama limousine, ompious & opiful, or poor little kids can't keep their eyes open on Route 90 Texas at 4 A.M. as dad goes to the bushes and stretches. Jack Kerouac from his Introduction to The Americans.
While preparing the 20th anniversary edition of his book The Americans, Robert Frank added this triptych after the last image in the book as a coda. These are the last three frames on the same strip of film as U.S. 90, en route to Del Rio, Texas. His children have awakened and their journey continues---life goes on.
