A CONCERTINA ALBUM OF WOODBLOCK PRINTS, 19TH CENTURY
containing twenty-four oban prints and seven oban triptychs by Chikanobu (1838-1912), the single prints variously depicting children in landscapes and in interiors practicing musical instruments, card games, origami, knitting, making tea, gathering clams and playing outdoor games, the triptychs with groups of ladies at leisure in gardens, on the seashore and in interiors, a single sheet depicting numerous samurai to the front of the album and an additional 20th century print to the inside of the cover, with hardback woven cover.
