JOHN SLOAN (1871-1951) Easter Eve, Washington Square (Morse 222) etching, 1926, on wove paper, the second state (of three), signed and annotated 'Second State April 6, 26' in pencil, the edition was 100, with full margins, minor surface soiling, several printing creases, the paper partially split at the platemark, the palest mat staining, three pinholes at the center right margin, paper loss at the lower right margin corner, a crease at the lower margin edge, otherwise in good condition, framed P. 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (251 x 200 mm.) S. 14 1/8 x 11 in. (359 x 279 mm.)
