LONDON -- ROCQUE, John (c.1704-1762). Views of Adjacent Villages in the County of Middlesex. [n.p. but London: n.d. but c.1750s] Oblong folio (258 x 390mm). Engraved dedication by Gravelot and Grignion, and 6 engraved views (c.200 x c.300mm) on laid paper. (Short marginal tears, occasional light spotting.) Stitched later but reusing earlier stab holes (dedication leaf detached).
A RARE GROUP OF VIEWS, including: 'St. Mary-le-Bone from the Bason', 'Tottenham Court', 'The New River Head', 'The New Bridge at Westminster' (this one engraved by Grignion), 'Fulham Bridge from Putney', and 'The English Grotto near the New River Head'.
