A gilt bronze figure of Jambhala
Tibeto-Chinese, 18th century
Seated on a lion over a lotus base, his right hand in vitarkamudra with his left holding a mongoose, dressed in a festooned robe and adorned with streaming ribbons, the face with hooked nose and sharply arched brows flanked by large hoop earrings, the hair pulled into a high chignon, the base with incised scrollwork and sealed with a double-vajra
