Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and raised steel hour markers in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 22 February 1943.
This watch has never been offered at auction before and is thought to be the only reference 1503 in stainless steel with such a two-tone silvered dial known to exist to date.
Reference 1503 was introduced into the market in 1941 and in production until the early 1950s. It features a similar case design and dial layout as reference 1509 and was mainly made in stainless steel.
The particularity of the present watch however is its most unusual, charismatic two-tone dial and the raised steel numerals, certified by the Extract from the Archives, and most probably a unique combination.
