Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1992 and its subsequent sale on July 16th of the following year. The extract further states the watch received a COSC rating certificate. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated July 1st, 1996, leather envelope, additional 18k gold hard case back and product literature.

Patek Philippe introduced the reference 3939 in 1993 in yellow, white and pink gold models. A platinum verison was released the following year. This complicated timepiece is exemplary of the master craftsmanship of Patek Philippe, not only because it consists of a total of 336 parts but it also houses both minute repeating and tourbillon functions within a small case, classified by the caliber RTO 27 PS
