Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with paved diamond dial and 3/4 sapphire indexes, total of 1220 diamonds 8/8 of approx. 7.07 ct, in 1991 and its subsequent sale on 7 June 1991.
This watch is believed to be the first and so far only example of reference 3800/108 to appear in public to date. Fresh to the market it is furthermore in virtually unworn condition. A collector's mind could hardly imagine a more lavish "sports watch" than the present, fully pavé-set Nautilus.
Reference 3800, the standard Nautilus model without diamonds, was in production from 1981 until 2006 and was available in different versions as to case material and dial layout. The highly jewelled examples however were made in very limited quantities or as unique pieces to special order, most probably such as the present watch.
