A EUROPEAN BRONZE SWORD
BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 12TH-10TH CENTURY B.C.
The long tapering blade with parallel grooves towards the tip, the hilt riveted to the blade, the arched guard with incised bands of chevrons, the ridged grip chased with three raised bands each with squares of alternating incised dashes, the disc-shaped pommel with knob terminal decorated with concentric circles including a wide band of alternating vertical dashes and concentric semi-circles
