'Le duc [Gaston] d'Orléans possessed two libraries, one in Paris, in the palace of Luxemburg, the second in Blois, both of which were considerable; the volumes were almost all bound in tan calf' (Olivier). Gaston d'Orléans donated his library to his nephew Louis XIV, older brother of Philippe d'Orléans. Olivier 2537, 2560.
