A FINE SMALL ARCHAISTIC MOTTLED WHITE JADE HU-FORM VASE
EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
Of archaic bronze form with each of the flattened globular sides finely carved in shallow relief a taotie-mask in-between a band of confronted C-scrolls, below pendent cicada blades on the waisted neck, flanked by a pair of S-shaped handles, the exterior of the mouth rim and foot rim with a band of key-fret, the white stone with areas of opaque streaks and grey inclusions
