TRACES OF BLACK CHALK, PEN AND BROWN INK, BROWN WASH HEIGHTENED WITH WHITE
A typical late drawing by the artist, this sheet can be compare with a similar oval-shaped drawing contained in Volume I of the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, Munich, dated 10 July 1628 and possibly Palma's last drawing. We are grateful to Stefania Mason Rinaldi for confirming the attribution to Palma based on a photograph and for her assistance in cataloguing the work.

Typique de la période de maturité de l’artiste, cette feuille est similaire à un dessin de même forme à la Staatliche Graphische Sammlung de Munich, daté du 10 juillet 1628, et qui constitue peut-être le dernier dessin de l’artiste.
