Born into a family of jewellers, that have been established for several generations, Selim Mouzannar travelled the world for several years in search of inspiration. However, coming back to his home country Lebanon, he realised that all the inspiration he needed was there right in front of him. He started his own company in 1998, choosing not to join the family business and soon became one of the most renowned jewellers in the country. His reputation outgrew the borders of Lebanon, from Dubai to Paris to New York. Selim Mouzannar's jewellery is inspired by the history of Lebanon and the influences on a society at a crossroads of culture and religions. Translating this inspiration into beauty, his pieces are very modern yet infused with ancestral traditions and savoir faire.


The Beirut Collection is a tribute to the beautiful traditional houses of the Lebanese capital, so many of which have sadly been replaced by high rise buildings. In particular, the ring and earrings use motifs inspired by their distinctive arcades and balustrades with the back delicately pierced with similar architectural motifs, set in rose gold reminiscent of the characteristic red roof tiles. Selim Mouzannar honours the architecture that gave pre-war Beirut its splendour and charm.
