$10, 1848 AU-50 (PCGS). Bright light yellow gold with some reflectivity and good lustre remaining. Very nice for the grade. The date 1848 is a magical one in the history of California of course; this specimen is a fine reference from this historic wreck to the year that witnessed the first cries of GOLD!
