$5, 1852-C VF-35 (PCGS). A very pleasing example with light greenish gold surfaces and faint traces of lustre. Surfaces are far finer than usual for an example at this grade level. Centers somewhat lightly struck, as typical for 1852-C, but with the mintmark very bold (also typical). A relatively available Charlotte Mint issue.
