Serial No.A15241, Factory Order No.Y5317 15, in sunburst finish, with gold-plated metal parts, body with single sharp cutaway, top with f-holes, mahogany neck, nineteen-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with double parallelogram inlays, headstock face with crown inlay, two cream P-90 pickups, four rotary controls, selector switch, metal combination bridge/tailpiece and cream pickguard with gold floral design; and a brown hardshell contour case with Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Gibson 295 '53 Sunburst P.90s SerA.15241 and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed
The ES-295 was introduced in 1952.
