See footnote to lot 44.
The photograph illustrated shows Eric Clapton playing this guitar or its partner in lot 44 at the opening of the Emporio Armani store, Lexington Armory, New York, September 12, 1996. He apparently played a short set which included Crossroads, Pretending, Going Down Slow and Tearing Us Apart. He was accompanied by Steve Gadd, Nathan East and Greg Philinganes and was joined by Sheryl Crow for the last number.
Although this colour is called black/green, it looks blue in different lighting.
