A 42-STAR AMERICAN NATIONAL FLAG
A linen "Stars and Stripes", the flag sewn with the stars applied in horizontal rows of 7, 46 x 73in. (1170 x 1855mm).
A rare 42-star American flag acquired by Stanley in the States. Another 'unofficial' flag, a number were made before July 3rd 1890, in the misjudged expectation that Idaho would not be admitted to the Union until after the 4th.
