    Converted from flintlock, with browned twist barrels with gilt decoration around the silver fore-sight and on the patent breeches, and inscribed in gold script 'Canon Tordu, à Ruban/Fer, De, Faux', gold breech-lines, gold-decorated tang, signed flat locks engraved on the tail repectively with a bird and a stag, engraved hammers each with chiselled lion-head nose, figured walnut half-stock carved in relief and with a bearded male face behind the grip, cheek-piece on the right side, chequered grip and fore-end, the former cut with basketwork (escutcheon missing), full silver mounts cast and chased in relief with Neo-Classical designs, the rear ramrod-pipe with a stag's head and a reclining sportsman, the butt-plate with Diana on the tang and incorporating a dummy butt-trap with hinged cover, silver ramrod-pipes and sling-swivels, and whalebone ramrod (tip missing), silver hallmarks indistinct
