A BAKSHAISH CARPET WEST PERSIA, CIRCA 1880 The ivory field with angular serrated leaves issuing from an indigo hexagonal medallion containing angular flowering palmette vine, a palmette pendant above and below, the shaded dusty rust-red linked spandrels filled with further palmettes, flowerheads and stylised floral sprays, in a broad shaded indigo linked flowerhead and angular vine border between ivory floral meander stripes, minor spots of light wear, overall excellent condition 16ft.6in. x 12ft.10in. (502cm. x 392cm.)
