The centre with a bird perched on a bamboo branch issuing from pierced rockwork with flowers and foliage, the rim with stylised scrolls and scattered foliage divided by four cartouches painted with acanthus

Sold with a letter dated 4th November 1968 from Michael Archer to the owner requesting permission to illustrate the dish in the updated version of English Delftware.
