In the match against Scotland, played on 11th April 1959 at Wembley, England defeated Scotland 1-0, the only goal being scored by Charlton.
The above cap and in particular the match against Scotland, represents the historic 100th England International appearance by Billy Wright. In doing so, Billy Wright became the first-ever player world-wide to make 100 International apppearances for his country.
