MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The elongated brush rest of triangular section is carved with wavy ridges on top, later carved with a poetic inscription, followed by the signature Hufan.

The signature Hufan on this brush rest refers to Wu Hufan (1894-1968), an accomplished Modern Chinese painter, connoisseur and collector.
