A BRONZE KORO BY TEIKAN Signed Shiho Rosetsu Isshi, Teikan teppitsu and a seal, late 19th Century One side carved and inlaid in copper hirazogan with a three-clawed dragon, details in shakudo and gilt, the other side carved and decorated with a growling tiger on a rock in copper takazogan in rain, with handles in the form of clouds and tripod feet each formed as the face of a stylized karashishi, the cover with its finial surmounted by a fine carving of an eagle opening its wings and raising it's talons (slight wear, eagle reapplied with slight damage, handles and feet later) 18.5cm.
