A bronze two handled Gu-vase, Ming dynasty
with openwork one-horned dragon handles supporting the gently flaring neck below the wide rim, the globular central section supported on a tapering foot, deeply cast with wide bands of lotus flowerheads and scrolling leaves divided by a stepped shoulder, a line of stylised cloud scrolls below - 14¾in. (37.5cm.) high.
