A Buen Retiro white biscuit two-handled Crater-vase
Probably late 18th Century, traces of blue fleur de lys mark
With a flared gadrooned neck, each side with finely modelled Bacchic trophies with pipes, a tambourine and other instruments tied with ribbons onto swags of meandering fruiting vine branches suspended from goat's head handles, their large horns resting on the angular shoulder, on a waisted circular socle edged with a garland of ribbon-tied laurel on a square plinth base (broken through top of socle and restored, one corner of plinth and one goat's horn restored, tip of another horn restored, minute chipping to upper rim, edges of plinth and to two grapes)
7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) high
