A BYZANTINE OR MEROVINGIAN GOLD AND GARNET FINGER RING

The hoop a sheet strap ornamented with two bands of rope framed by beaded wire, joined to the underside of the cruciform box bezel, the arm of each cross inlaid with garnet, a cabochon garnet in the center, with a granule on each side where the bezel joins the hoop
