in sunburst finish, mahogany body, spruce top with f-holes, mahogany neck, nineteen fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, single pickup with metal cover and adjustable polepieces, two bakelite rotary controls, wooden bridge, metal tailpiece and imitation tortoise-shell pickguard; and a tweed hardshell contour case with Lee Dickson's adhesive paper label Gibson E.S.100 one S.Burst
The ES-100 was introduced in 1938.
Eric Clapton acquired this guitar for collecting rather than playing purposes.
