With two scroll handles, the hinged covers with husk border, on block feet, engraved with an inscription and a regimental badge, wood lined, marked on each end
14 in. (35.5 cm.) wide
The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO COLONEL J.G.K. STRATHY OBE ED CD ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT THE QUEEN'S OWN RIFLES OF CANADA 10 MAR 60 - 26 APR 70 BY HIS FELLOW OFFICERS'
