carved with figures before pavilions and at leisure, a small oval plaque to the centre reserved with initials, hinged lid -- 4½in. (11.5cms)long; and a similar tortoiseshell card holder carved and pierced with figures before pavilions, trees and flowers -- 41/8in. (10.5cms) long, (broken hinge).
