A CARVED MARBLE MODEL OF THE SPINARIO
BY E. DEMI, AFTER THE ANTIQUE, 1821
On an integrally carved oval plinth signed on the reverse of the rocky outcrop 'E. DEMI 1821' and on a later painted oval wood pedestal.
Minor chips and repairs.

Almost certainly Francesco Giacomo Larderel, Count of Montecerboli (1789-1858).
Purchased by the family of the vendor at a sale of works of art from the Palazzo Larderel, Livorno, circa 1970.
