In 1903, Chanu asked Guimard to build a summer home in Chaponval, located near Auvers-sur-Oise. Guimard also designed the furniture for the house. Among his works were a sofa, two armchairs, a small table, and the present stool for the salon and a dining table and chairs for the salle à manger.
