A CARVED YAOZHOU CELADON VASE
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The vase is carved to the exterior with lotus blooms growing from leafy scrolling foliage, below a stylised lappet band to the foot. It is covered in an olive green glaze, pooling to a darker tone within the crevices of the decoration.
