Sighted barrel marked with two-line New York address, stagecoach robbery scene on cylinder, colour hardened frame marked COLTS PATENT, silver plated grips straps, varnished walnut grips, contemporary varnished mahogany case lined with dark brown felt and fitted in the French manner, containing COLT'S PATENT bullet mold (Rapley #M16 variant without .31 Pkt stamped on right block), nipple wrench (Rapley #M17), flask with leaf motif (Riling No. 311), Scheadt Brothers cap box, and packet of 6 skin cartridges .31/100 inch Calibre Merwin & Bray Co. Flaking to blue finish of barrel, retaining much original silver finish, colour hardening, and varnish, case with some losses to rear side.
