A celadon jade flattened vase and cover, 19th Century
the flattened domed cover with a crested bird standing on the oval finial, with long hanging suspended chain to one side, twin mythical beast head and loose-ring handles, and carved in openwork with large lotus leaves and spreading branches rising up the shoulders of the vase from the foaming waves below - 9½in. (24.1cm.) high, pierced wooden stand in the form of scrolling waves.
