A Chinese blue and white sleeve vase, mid 17th century
of a slightly tapering cylindrical body rising to the waisted neck and flared chocolate rim, painted with magpies in flight and perched on bamboo beside a spray of magnolia blossoms, all growing amidst pierced rockwork, the neck with foliate blades -- 9¼in. (23.4cm.) high.
