A Chinese blue and white spitoon, Kangxi period
of octagonal section, the compressed globular body rising to the wide flared neck and rim, applied with a loop handle, the body and inner rim painted with panels enclosing floral sprays alternating with scenes of pagodas in mountainous river landscapes, the exterior of the neck and rim painted with two floral sprigs, the handle with a foliate spray -- 5 3/16in. (13.2cm.) wide.
