A Chinese Export black and gilt lacquered fan
decorated on both sides with two seated figures surrounded by numerous standing attendants before pagodas, within a wide shaped central panel with insect and foliate borders, this within bands of scrolling motifs and feathers, some of the standing male attendants with red painted tassels to their robes -- each stick 9¼in. (23.5cm.) long, (re-threaded, minor rubbing), silk brocade fitted box.
