A Chinese famille rose moonflask, Tongzhi
with twin flattened loop handles and short cylindrical neck, the central roundels painted in coloured enamels with an ornate lotus flowerhead and scrolling foliage below a Shou character and flying bat motif, on a yellow ground, surrounded by bats holding precious objects and further scrolling flowerheads -- 8 1/8in. (20.6cm.) high.
