A Chinese famille verte hexagonal vase, 19th century
enamelled with a continuous scene of two ladies beside a crane, one wilding a sword and the other a spear-banner, below an immortal seated on clouds and a warrior riding on fire-wheels and opposite a lady riding a horse, all between various floral and diaper bands, the everted mouth rim with floral sprays -- 23 5/8in. (60cm.) high.
