A CHINESE IMARI PART DINNER SERVICE, 18TH CENTURY
Each piece decorated with circular and ruyi-shaped panels enclosing flowers, fruit and retreats in landscapes, reserved on a floral ground, the borders with a distinctive gilt foliage scroll with flower heads and roundels below foliate rims, comprising: two large vegetable dishes with octagonal covers, 11½ in. (29.2 cm.) wide, four similar dishes and covers, 10 1/8 in. (25.7 cm.) wide, an oblong similar dish and cover, 11 in. (28 cm.) long, three similar dishes and covers, 9¾ in. (24.9 cm.) long, two custard-cups and covers, 3½ in. (8.9 cm.) wide, five side plates, 8¼ in. (21 cm.) diam., and four dessert bowls, from 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) to 6in. (15.2 cm.) diam.
