A Chinese large famille verte fish bowl on a marble inlaid wood stand, 19th Century
painted in coloured enamels with a continuous scene of warriors, equestrian fighters and foot soldiers with banners racing into battle, before stylised rockwork all on a yellow ground, below a ruyi-head collar border, the interior decorated with large iron-red goldfish - 17 7/8in. (45.4cm.) high, and a square formed wood stand, on four supports, with inlaid marble surface, the wood carved with hanging borders of fruiting double gourds and scrolling leafy foliage - stand, 16 5/8in. (42.2cm.) high.
