A Chinese pale celadon jade belt buckle and hook, 19th century
each section carved in the form of of an openwork quatrefoil enclosing a leafy floral spray, the hook terminating in an arched dragon head fitting to the rectangular opening of the buckle, the reverse with domed sections, the stone of an even pale celadon tone -- overall 5 1/16in. (12.8cm.) wide.
