The arched rectangular headboard formed as a pagoda carved with trailing vines and applied with the crests of two Russian houses of nobility; the left crest, Kassarkine-Rostovsky, the right crest Dolgoruky, on a cartouche crested by a crown over a triple-divided rectangular mirrored plate with a similarly shaped offset footboard centrally inset with a bronze-mounted panel depicting an exotic bird in crisply cast flowering branches flanked by mirrored panels and dragons, on scrolling bracket feet
