A cinnabar lacquer tripod censer
Qianlong sealmark and of the period
of globular form with upright handles with openwork panels on three short feet, deeply carved with scrolling lotus and foliage with scattered Buddhistic emblems, the rims to the feet, handles and top with key-fret bands, all on geometric grounds, Qianlong six character sealmark to the rim, on a carved and pierced wood stand -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) wide, (handles re-applied, minor nibbles).
